Following triumphant past sets in Russia’s two capitals, world-renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold is returning to the country for a mini-tour! The musician will perform at the Mantera Supreme Hotel in Sirius on September 5. The events are organized by Say Agency.
Paul Oakenfold is a colossus of the dance industry, whose influence has extended far beyond club decks. He was at the forefront of the rave movement in England in the late 1980s and had a hand in the "Second Summer of Love." He made trance music commercially successful and accessible to a wider audience, while preserving the spirit of the genre. He was the first electronic musician to conquer major cinema, recording soundtracks for "Swordfish," "The Matrix Reloaded," and "The Bourne Identity." He has been nominated for a Grammy three times and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. He performed with U2 and Madonna, demonstrating that DJs could also be stadium stars. He founded the label Perfecto Records, bringing with him dozens of young names in the electronic scene. He demonstrated that dance music can sound cool and spectacular not only in dark clubs, but also in the most unusual places on the planet: from the Great Wall of China to Everest.
